Which size does my child need?
Little for 2 to 4 years (6 cm), Junior for 4 to 8 (8 cm), Big Kid for 8 to 12 (10 cm). Between sizes, go smaller — too high tips the chin. Picked wrong? We swap it free.

For ages 2 and up, in a toddler or big bed. Low profile, firm slow-rebound foam, no loose fill or feathers. Not for babies under 12 months or in a cot.

A slow-rebound foam core in removable layers, inside a cooling bamboo-viscose cover. Cover: cold machine wash, line dry. Fits a standard kids pillowcase.

Why it happens

Why they sleep with their mouth open — and what changes tonight

Child asleep on their side on a Hushroo pillow, head level, chin supported
01
The pillow tips their head back

A flat kids pillow sits too low; a hand-me-down adult one sits too high. Either way the chin lifts and the head tilts.

02
The jaw drops and the mouth falls open

With the chin up, the mouth hangs open all night. That’s the snoring you hear from the hallway, the damp pillow, the dry lips at 6am.

03
They toss, wake and start the day tired

Propped on your arm, twisted in the sheets, up six times. Ten hours in bed and still grumpy by lunch.

What Hushroo changes

  • The right height for their age — 6, 8 or 10 cm — so the head sits level, not tipped.
  • A gentle rise at the neck so the head can’t roll back.
  • A front edge under the chin so the mouth rests closed and they breathe through their nose.
The Quiet Nights Trial

What to expect

Every child settles differently. Here’s what to look for.

Night 1Head level, mouth resting closed

They may roll off it and back on. That’s normal. Don’t fuss with it.

Nights 2–3Finding their spot

Side sleepers settle fastest. Back sleepers usually take a few nights to stop hunting for a position.

Week 1Listen from the hallway

This is the week to film them and compare it with the clip already on your phone.

Weeks 2–3The mornings change

Look for fewer wake-ups, a drier pillow and a less grumpy breakfast — you’ll notice before they do.

Hushroo vs. the pillow they’re on now

A flat cot pillow and a hand-me-down adult pillow both do the same thing at 2am: tip the head back and let the jaw fall open.

Hushroo Quiet Night Pillow

Been told to wait and see? You can start tonight.

Most parents are sent home with “he’ll grow out of it” or a spot on a waiting list. Hushroo is the one thing you can change before bed tonight: the height their head rests at.

Aussie kids snore or sleep with their mouth open

Around 12% of children have sleep-disordered breathing (Monash Children’s research). If you’ve noticed it, you’re not imagining it.

1–2 yrs
The wait to see a public ENT specialist

Parents report 12 to 30 months for a first appointment. That’s hundreds of nights of listening from the hallway.
